The budget package presented to the members of the Planning Commission amounts to 3,960,729,023 CFA francs
.The 2025 budget represents a 23% increase compared to the 2023 budget. The increase in the budget envelope is explained by the growing needs of the institution to maintain its optimal functioning and meet the requirements of justice in the country. During his presentation, President Victor D. Adossou detailed the intended use of the funds. Thus, 72% allocated to personnel expenses, reflecting the importance given to human capital by the Supreme Court. The remaining 26 per cent of the budget is earmarked for the procurement of goods and services, reflecting the desire to modernize and improve the infrastructure and services offered by the Court. And 1% of the budget is devoted to transfer costs, a modest part, but essential for transactions between institutions and for judicial cooperation. The increase in the Supreme Court's budget for 2025 is a positive sign of the government's commitment to strengthening the country's judicial system. This increase is also indicative of continued efforts to improve the efficiency and quality of judicial services, with the ultimate aim of consolidating democracy and protecting the rights of all citizens.
