The Department of the Treasury and External Finances (DTFE) informs that the Treasury debt reached 1.071.5 billion dirhams (MMDH) at the end of October 2024, up 7.2% compared to the same period of the previous year.

The debt of the Moroccan Treasury reached 1.071.5 billion dirhams at the end of October 2024, registering an increase of 7.2% compared to the previous year. This increase is mainly due to the increase in domestic debt, which represents 75.9% of the total. External debt also grew by 10.4% to reach 258.4

billion dinars.

In the context of external debt management, the Treasury observed a positive net flow of 5.5 billion dirhams, although drawdowns fell by 36.6% compared to the previous year. On the other hand, reimbursements registered a significant increase of 86.2%, reaching 28.3

billion dinars.

In order to readjust its domestic debt profile, the Treasury carried out bill exchange transactions worth 40.4 billion dirhams at the end of October 2024, a decrease compared to the previous year.
