Le dollar est en hausse grâce aux prévisions de croissance et d' inflation aux États-Unis, tandis que les dollars A Australians and New Zealanders are heading for their lowest levels in two years. The rupee and yen are falling.

The U.S. dollar rose slightly on Thursday on expectations that the currency would be boosted next year by the policies of the incoming Donald Trump administration that are expected to boost growth and inflation. The Dollar Index was up 0.13% to 108.25. It is holding just below a two-year high of 108.54 reached on Friday. The greenback gained 0.31% to 157.89 Japanese yen. It reached 157.93 on Friday, the highest level since July 17

.

Australian and New Zealand dollars were on the brink of weekly losses on Friday, as they hovered toward their lowest levels in two years amid holiday-related trade tensions, while the technical outlook remained deeply bearish. The New Zealand dollar was in trouble at $0.5623, after dropping 1% overnight to $0.5622. It is also down 0.5% this week to approach the lowest level in two years of $0.5608 reached last week. Both were hit overnight, when the benchmark US Treasury yield hit an eight-month high of 4.641%

The recent weakness in the Indian rupee is expected to persist on Friday in the wake of an optimistic outlook for the US dollar and an expected recovery in demand for the greenback by importers. The 1-month undeliverable futures contract indicated that the rupee would open at 85.26-85.27 for one dollar, a few millimeters from the all-time low of 85.2825 hit on Thursday. The currency fell by 1.75% during this quarter

.

The yen hovered near its lowest level in five months against the dollar on Friday, with the hawkish message from the US Federal Reserve contrasting with the Bank of Japan's cautious approach to further tightening monetary policy.

The yen traded at 157.725 per dollar at 12:30am GMT, up 0.1% from Thursday, but still close to this session's low of 158.09 per dollar, the weakest level of the yen since July 17.
