A budget of 10.615 billion FCFA (equivalent to approximately 16 million USD) has been approved for the fiscal year 2025 on behalf of the Regional Project to Improve Road and River Transport Corridors in Central Africa (Pracac) in Congo. A budget validated by the steering committee in session on December 24, 2024 in Brazzaville

.

This funding is focused on supporting the Regional Project to Improve Road and River Transport Corridors in Central Africa (Pracac). The approval of this budget was formalized at a crucial meeting of the steering committee, held on 24 December 2024 in Brazzaville, stressing the urgency and importance of this initiative for the economic and social development of the region

.

Improved access to road and river infrastructure will facilitate the flow of goods and services, allowing for deeper regional integration. These measures should mainly benefit small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as local farmers, by offering them better access to markets. Indeed, with modern infrastructure, transport costs will be significantly reduced, which is a derisory competitive advantage for local producers

.

In addition, this investment in transport corridors is also seen as a vehicle for sustainable development, as it will allow remote communities to access vital resources and services, such as health, education, and food supplies. Thus, this project is not only limited to improving roads, but also contributes to the eradication of poverty and the emancipation of vulnerable populations in the

region.
