The Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Azzedine El Midaoui announced on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at the House of Councillors the signing of 18 partnership agreements with private investors.

The 18 agreements were signed with the aim of creating university residences with a total capacity of around 12,000 beds. According to the minister, these structures were created as part of the strengthening of the university accommodation offer with the involvement of the private sector. According to the latter, “the development of a new vision that will allow the creation of new generation university residences, in partnership with the various stakeholders, actors, partners, the private sector, regional councils and local authorities in the context of advanced regionalization”.
