Funded by the Belgian Academy of Research and Higher Education (ARES), the Prosadop project, an acronym for “Valorization of the modern poultry sector in Benin through healthy and sustainable production of eggs and hens”, is the result of a scientific collaboration between the University of Abomey-Calavi (UAC), the National University of Agriculture of Benin (UNA), and the universities of Liège and Namur in Belgium. It is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular those concerning the eradication of hunger and the promotion of decent work

The project aims to develop a sustainable poultry sector, meeting public health standards while supporting the local economy. According to the vice-rector of UNA, Pascal Olounladé, “Prosadop is in line with national priorities in terms of food security and offers an opportunity to strengthen the technical and scientific capacities of local actors
