Le bureau statistique National (NBS) announced that Nigeria is preparing to include new areas of activity, including informal, hidden or illegal activities in the way its gross domestic product (GDP) is calculated.

The statistical office national indicated the new calculation method, expected within the year, aims to reflect changing economic realities and 2019 will serve as the year basic.
