Du historic energy summit for African heads of state and government will take place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on January 27 to 28, 2025. This meeting is organized by the African Development Bank Group, the World Bank Group, the African Union and the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania

The African Energy Summit will bring together African heads of state and government, private sector leaders, development partners and donors, experts, civil society organizations, and actors from academia, to mobilize and secure the financial resources, partnerships, and political commitment needed to achieve the “Mission 300” and consolidate the progress already made by African countries in achieving universal electrification. In fact, the World Bank Group and the African Development Bank Group, in collaboration with development partners, are committed to expanding access to electricity for 300 million people in Africa by 2030.
