On the occasion of its ^10th fiscal year, the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) held a press conference on Friday, January 10, last. This meeting allowed the DGI to present its assessment of the fiscal year 2024 and the prospects for the year 2025, the new fiscal measures of the finance law for the execution of the State budget, fiscal year 2025

In fact, the DGI recorded a remarkable mobilization of tax revenues, reaching 1,480 billion CFA francs, all budgets combined, against 1,368 billion CFA francs in 2023, i.e. an increase of 113 billion CFA francs, despite the difficult context. 48 billion CFA francs were recovered eacute; s for the budgets of local authorities, up by 9% compared to the year 2024. Also, 112 billion CFA francs were collected for the Patriotic Support Fund, against 35 billion CFA francs in 2023. 27 billion CFA francs were recovered in 2024 for the other budgets. According to the Director General of Taxes, Talato Eliane Djiguemdé, this performance is the result of the unwavering support of the authorities in implementing bold reforms, the spirit of sacrifice of the DGI staff, the spirit of sacrifice of the DGI staff, the high sense of fiscal citizenship of taxpayers and the support of partner administrations, the media, as well as technical partners and financials.

Likewise, several notable advances have been recorded, thanks to strong actions and significant innovations.

It should be noted that the 10th DGI fiscal year focused on the theme: “For a resilient and sovereign Burkina Faso, I declare and pay my taxes”.
