The Ivorian Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani, announced this Friday, January 17, the new price on the field edge of cashew nuts for the 2024-2025 campaign. It is fixed at 425 FCFA/kg against 275 FCFA during the previous season.

The field price of cashew nuts, carefully dried and sorted, for the 2025 season is set at 425 FCFA per kilogram, against 275 FCFa during the previous campaign, against 275 FCFa during the previous campaign, i.e. an increase of 150 FCFa. The announcement was made yesterday by the Minister of State, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Food Productions, Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani, at the opening of the first edition of the National Cotton and Cashew Producer Days in Port-Bouët

According to the Minister of State, this significant increase of 54% is the result of an effort made by President Alassane Ouattara to promote the work of Ivorian producers. “This sacrifice will allow producers to benefit from an additional income of 173 billion CFA francs. Thus 489 billion CFA francs will be distributed for the 2025 campaign to planters,” he said

During the ceremony, Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani urged producers to increase productivity while maintaining a high level of quality. He emphasized that the success of agricultural sectors is based on harmonious collaboration between public, private and international actors
