The Secretary of State for Oil and Gas, José Barroso informed Luanda on Thursday that Angola exported 98 million and 200 thousand barrels of oil, during the 4th quarter of 2024, valued at 7 billion and 300 million dollars, a decrease of 4.7% compared to the same quarter in 2023.

According to Barroso, the price of Brent has shown a volatile behavior on the international market, with a downward trend, due to the maintenance of some refineries in China and the resulting reduction in imports of raw materials by this country, as well as geopolitical tensions. in the Middle East.

The latter indicated that, in cumulative terms, the country exported 394.4 million barrels of crude oil in 2024, which generated a collection of around 31 billion and four million dollars, data that was previously considered provisional.

When it comes to natural gas, the country exported 1.3 million metric tons, with an emphasis on LNG, with about 81%, corresponding to a gross value of $809.13 million. An increase of 29% compared to the same period in 2023 and 5% compared to the previous three months.
