The British oil and gas exploration and production company Predator Oil & Gas Holdings Plc unveiled on Monday, March 17, 2025 promising preliminary results for drilling its MOU-5 well in Guercif.

The drilling was aimed at exploring a world-class natural gas prospect in Guercif's onshore license. The work confirmed the presence of Domerian carbonate, unexpectedly high-quality sand, and helium, paving the way for new exploration opportunities. In a statement, the company announced that it successfully completed its MOU-5 exploration well drilling campaign within 10 days and without exceeding the planned budget. The data collected will be used to feed future 3D seismic studies aimed at exploring the Jurassic Project.
