Le Fonds monétaire international (IMF ) a publié mardi 8 avril 2025 un communiqué selon lequel les autorités burkinabè et le IMF reached a service-level agreement on economic and financial policies for a disbursement of 32 million dollars, after the third& egrave; review me under the extended credit facility (ECF).

The agreement aims to create fiscal space for priority spending, reduce debt vulnerability, build resilience to shocks, reduce poverty and inequality, while improving fiscal discipline and governance. It must be validated by the institution's board of directors in June 2025. According to the Bretton Woods institution, “the authorities have made considerable efforts to advance their structural reform agenda in a very difficult security context.
