BRVM: less than one billion CFA francs in transactions this Wednesday

Contrary to the six previous sessions, the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM) recorded transactions of less than one billion FCFA at the end of the trading session on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

The total value of transactions in the session under review was in fact 978.538 million FCFA against 1.328 billion FCFA on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Since Tuesday, June 10, 2025, when it amounted to 2.257 billion FCFA, these transactions have always been above one billion FCFA billion with respectively 2.267 billion FCFA on June 11, 1.512 billion FCFA on June 12, 1.975 billion FCFA on June 12, 1.975 billion FCFA on June 13, and FCFA 1.975 billion on June 13, 2025. The average of transactions over the seven trading sessions is 1.660 billion FCFA

In terms of other market activities, notes the continued improvement in the stock market's flagship indices. The BRVM Composite index thus gained 0.32% to 309.09 points against 308.10 points the day before. For its part, the BRVM 30 index rose by 0.18% to 154.44 points against 154.16 points previously. As for the BRVM Prestige index, it rose by 0.55% to 129.02 points against 128.32 points

As for the market capitalization of the equity market, it increased by 38.348 billion, from 11,880.973 billion FCFA the day before to 11,919.321 billion FCFA on June 18, 2025.

That of the well-known bond market is also up by 5.457 billion, reaching 10,439.025 billion FCFA against 10,433.568 billion FCFA the day before.
