UnionPay International (UPI) announced an exclusive promotion in partnership with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). It offers an instant discount of up to 15% in China for UnionPay credit card holders globally.

In total, more than 500 designated hotels in mainland China that support UnionPay online payment are included in the offer, aimed at improving the travel payment experience for international UnionPay cardholders.

InterContinental Hotels Group ( IHG) is a leading international hotel management company with over 20 hotel brands. Its luxury and lifestyle hotel brands participating in this promotion include Six Senses Hotels, Resorts & Spas, Regent Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, InterContinental Hotels, " Bookman Old Style”, Serif">InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Vignette Collection, and Hotel Indigo. High-end hotel brands include Crowne Plaza Hotels, HUALUXE Hotels & Resorts, EVEN Hotels, and voco hotels. Mid-to-high-end brands include Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express. In mainland China, IHG operates over 800 hotels, and more than 530 of them now accept UnionPay online payments and participate in this promotion

Cardholders who use UnionPay credit cards issued outside of mainland China receive instant hotel discounts between June 10 and October 31, 2025 when they book eligible properties in Mainland China using the official InterContinental Hotels website or the IHG One Rewards mobile app between June 10 and October 31, 2025 when they book eligible properties in Mainland China using the official InterContinental Hotels website or the IHG One Rewards mobile app, where the UnionPay online payment is accepted at checkout
