of a national commission for the care of women victims of violence. During this
ceremony, the head of government indicated that the creation of this commission "reinforces
the institutionalization of coordination instruments between stakeholders in the field of the fight against
violence against women, in particular with regard to the contribution to the establishment of tools
intended to improve the management of the action of support units for women victims of violence
on a national level".

Benin: President Patrice Talon reshuffles his government team
COTONOU -- The President of Benin, Patrice Talon, proceeded Thursday evening in Cotonou, after the advisory opinion of the
office of the National Assembly, to a reshuffle of its government team, less than 20 months from
the end of his mandate in April 2021. According to the government press release published Thursday evening, the new team
ministerial now has 24 ministers, including 5 women.

Ivory Coast: the opposition boycotts a plenary session of the National Assembly
ABIDJAN -- The three opposition parliamentary groups in the National Assembly boycotted Thursday in
Abidjan a plenary session of the institution supposed to adopt the calendar of parliamentary work for the
ordinary session of the year. The parliamentary groups of the Democratic Party of Côte d'Ivoire (PDCI), Vox
Populi and Rassemblement decided not to take part in the session, considering that it was convened in
"unlawful conditions".
