The Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM) and the Central Depository/Bank for Settlement (DC/BR) are deeply bereaved by the sudden death of Mr. Gabriel FAL, their former Chairman of the Boards of Directors, on Tuesday September 24, 2019.

A great craftsman from the first hours of the construction of the UEMOA Regional Financial Market, Mr. Gabriel FAL witnessed all the phases of its changes, especially during his term as Chairman of the Boards of Directors from 2013 to 2015 , for the reform of governance and the strategic revival of the activities of the central structures of the market.

A major player, through his company CGF Bourse, the Regional Financial Market owes him major operations, in particular several bond issues, initial public offerings and above all the attraction of international investors.

Mr. Gabriel FAL leaves behind him a memorable work in the service of the development of capital markets in Africa.

Humble man, deeply endearing and great optimist, he will be forever missed by the BRVM and the DC/BR.
