As part of the cycle of energy conferences, launched by ArmorSicence, Francis Nativel, retired energy engineer and chemist speaks of energy as a societal issue. On pause because of the lockdowns, the conferences resume this Friday, to present the issues around the bioeconomy.

Energy is a social topic and can potentially interest everyone. This cycle of conferences seeks to provide neutral information to enlighten the public on the subject. The first was moderated by Jérôme Sabathier, head of the Economics and Environmental Assessment Department of IFP Énergies Nouvelles, on the theme "Energy and transport". The next one will focus on the "bioeconomy" with Nicolas Béfort from the Neoma Business School in Reims.

According to Francis Nativel, the bioeconomy uses renewable raw materials, plant materials for example, in industries. It is also a non-food valorization of the plant. The issues will be dissected by the researcher during the conference.
