The latest national report on Cameroon's foreign trade indicates that the country's trade deficit deteriorated by 7.5% in the first half of 2021 compared to the same period a year earlier.

The document indicates that this trend results from the increase (15.4%) in import expenditure between the two periods, the increase (21.5%) in export earnings recorded during the first 6 months of the ending year. failed to cover the gap.
