For two days, the consultation meeting of stakeholders in the cotton sector worked on the preparation and launch of the 2022-2023 cotton production campaign. Participants from all regions of Togo reflected on new strategies to wake up the sector, which has lost its dynamism in recent years. Cotton production has fallen by 40% in recent years. At the end of the work, it appears that for this upcoming season, 180,000 hectares will be sown for a total production of 146,826 tons of seed cotton throughout the territory.
