The Government of Liberia has signed a €4 million ($4.2 million) financing agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the rice sector. The initiative will target all links in the value chain.

Feasibility studies will be carried out to assess the potential and challenges of the value chain to enable the development and launch of an investment plan by 2023.
