On Monday, 27 October last, the Executive Director, Mame Coumba Ndiaye said that the Agency for the Economy and Control of Energy (AEME) has adopted a new strategic plan for the five next years. The ambition is to mobilize 95 billion CFA francs.

During the installation ceremony of the second A cohort of energy managers, Ndiaye gave a presentation introduction on the interventions that the AEME is in the process of implementing. She said that a new strategic master's degree development plan of energy by 2025-2029 has been put in place to better address a new vision. According to him, “this strategic plan will allow to trigger a new international dynamic that aims to move towards doubling the level of energy efficiency in all states with an objective of mobilizing up to 8% of the potential of energy savings estimated at a total of 28% at the national level”. A Through this new strategic development plan, Senegal” will make considerable savings through the implementation of technological solutions innovative”.

“This new strategic plan is for us also make it possible to mobilize annual savings of 95% in five years billion CFA francs [...] a sum that will be collected every year as long as technological solutions will be used for investments of nearly 250 billion CFA francs,” said the director General of the AEME
