Speaking this Friday, May 17, 2019, at Fraternité Matin, as part of his discussion forum called "Invité des Réactions", the Minister of Economy and Finance, Adama Koné, wanted to be reassuring about the public debt management in Côte d'Ivoire.

In this regard, Côte d'Ivoire, he said, is cited as "a model" in the sub-region. According to him, the country under the leadership of the Head of State, Alassane Ouattara, is "well above the standard" international and the "risk of over-indebtedness remains moderate".

To achieve this, the government has taken important measures that have made it possible to diversify its internal resources to partly finance its economy.

These resources are derived from raw materials, oil and mining resources, industrial activities, customs duties and taxes obtained from commercial activities carried out in Côte d'Ivoire.

Minister Adama Koné notably presented on the central theme: "Economic growth and social well-being".

The reforms that have promoted growth, the country's debt policy, the debt of state suppliers, respect for the government's commitment to contain the budget deficit were discussed during discussions with journalists.
