Mali will launch on the market of the West African Economic Monetary Union (UEMOA) an issue of bonds assimilated by the Treasury by auction for an amount of 20 billion FCFA and over a period of three years, announced the agency. West African Regional Debt Planning UMOA-Titres in a press release.

The date for submission of tenders is set for Wednesday, April 10, 2019. The nominal unit value is ten thousand francs (10,000) and the value of the interest rate is 6.15%. The maturity is set for Monday, April 11, 2022 and the Bonds will be redeemed in full on the first business day following the maturity date (bullet redemption). Interest will be paid annually on the basis of a rate of 6.15% per year from the first year.

Interest earned on Assimilable Treasury Bonds is tax exempt for investors resident in Mali. Non-residents are subject to the taxation applicable in the territory of the country of residence.

This issuance of Bonds Assimilable du Trésor in all the member countries of the West African Monetary Union (UMOA) aims to mobilize the savings of natural and legal persons in order to ensure the coverage of the financing needs of the budget of the state, management 2019.
