The auditors of the 19th promotion of the Economic Policy Management Program received their diplomas, the Master of Advanced Studies in Economic Policy Management, from kaba Nialé, Minister of Planning and Development, this Thursday, February 13 at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny University in Abidjan.
There are 38 public and private administration executives from Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea and Togo. They were trained, for 12 months, to develop and implement innovative economic and human development programs, based on rigorous economic analysis, and adapted to the local, regional and international context.
"The development of human capital is now the main pillar of economic competitiveness, innovation and improving the well-being of populations. More than ever, Africa must equip itself with quality human resources capable of designing, monitoring and evaluating coherent economic policies that can guarantee people sustainable well-being," said Kaba Nialé, Ivorian Minister of Planning and Development.
Honorary member of this promotion, Cissé Abdoul Kader, Payor General of the Public Treasury of Côte d'Ivoire, himself an alumni of this university, urged his godchildren to the culture of "intellectual, professional and human values, capable of making them successful executives, without any limit in their careers".
Before inviting the managers of the Economic Policy Management Program, he really made a link between the training provided and the economic reality of African countries. 
"This program must, more, focus on econometrics. This science makes it possible to measure and evaluate the fundamental factors that play on the economic behavior of citizens. This knowledge will allow the auditor to be effectively productive, once in action," he said.
The Economic Policy Management Program is a training of excellence, with a sub-regional vocation, which aims to strengthen the human capacities of public and private administrations in West African countries. Since its creation in 1998, more than 600 managers have benefited from it and are using it to contribute, each at their level of responsibility, to the development of their respective countries and international institutions.
