Algiers — The National Advisory Council for the promotion of non-hydrocarbon exports was installed Saturday in Algiers in the presence of the Minister of Commerce, Said Djellab.

This council, whose roadmap is the national export strategy (SNE), is responsible for taking all decisions aimed at developing non-hydrocarbon exports and supporting exporters.

The National Advisory Council for the promotion of non-hydrocarbon exports was set up in Algiers on Saturday in the presence of the Minister of Commerce, Said Djellab.

This council, whose roadmap is the national export strategy (SNE), is responsible for taking all decisions aimed at developing non-hydrocarbon exports and supporting exporters.

Placed under the authority of the Prime Minister, the Council brings together representatives of the various ministries concerned, namely Trade, Finance, Interior and local authorities, Foreign Affairs and Transport and public works.

The presidents of the national chambers of agriculture, fishing and aquaculture and crafts and trades, respectively, are also members of this council, in addition to the representatives of the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Customs, l national association of exporters (ANEXAL) and the national agency for the promotion of foreign trade (ALGEX).

The creation of the Council and the definition of its component and its prerogatives were defined by the executive decree number 173-04 of June 12, 2004. It is stipulated therein that the Council aims at the encouragement, diversification and increase in gender and in number of non-hydrocarbon exports.
