Senegal's National Assembly on Monday elected the country's six representatives to the Parliament of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), apS said.

The list of six deputies representing Senegal in the ECOWAS parliament consists of five deputies from the "Benno Bok Yaakaar" parliamentary group namely Aimé Assine, Souleymane Ndoye, Adama Sylla, Abdoulaye Wilane, Oulimata Guiro and Woré Sarr from the Freedom and Democracy parliamentary group.

The alternate positions fall to Moussa Sané, Sana Kande, Fatou Séne Number 2, Fatim Sall, Aissatou Cissokho and Rokhaya Ndiouf.

The outgoing Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, Moustapha Cissé Lô was not reappointed by his colleagues.

The election was held shortly before the opening of the session examining Bill No. 01-2020 repealing and replacing Organic Law No. 2011-15 of 8 July 2013 on Finance Laws amended by Organic Law No. 2016-34 of 23 December 2016.
