The Autonomous Depreciation Fund reveals that the Cameroon mobilized its sovereign guarantee to support financing of 26.9% billion FCFA granted by the BDEAC to local businesses. three businesses are concerned. This is LP Industrie SA, beneficiary of 8.9 billion FCFA, Sohaing SAS Group (15 billion) and CAMAS SA (3 billion).

The document of the Autonomous Depreciation Fund (CAA), public debt manager mentions that “the BDEAC signed three financing agreements guaranteed up to 50% by the State, with private companies for a total amount of around 26.9 billion FCFA. These loans were granted to the following companies: LP Industrie S.A (8.9 billion FCFA), Sohaing SAS Group (15 billion FCFA) and Camas S.A. (3 billion FCFA)”.

The state is committed to taking on half the risk of non-reimbursement in order to encourage BDEAC to finance these construction projects of a concrete iron factory (LP Industrie SA), construction of an upper hotel standing (Sohaing Group) and acquisition of 23 trucks with the construction of a logistics base (Camas SA).

The sovereign guarantee that just benefited from the three private companies mentioned above are the result of the agreement of portfolio guarantee signed on December 20, 2023 in Douala between Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motazé, and the president of the BDEAC, the Cameroonian Dieudonné Evou Mekou.
