At the end of its bond auction and equivalent treasury bonds of 364 days, 3, 5 and 7 years, the State of Burkina Faso raised on Thursday 30 October 2025 on the UEMOA financial market, the sum of 16.762 billion FCFA. The country plans to face the financing its budget.

The amount put up for auction was 25 billion FCFA. Overall bids came out at 25.276 billion FCFA. Ce which gives a coverage rate of 101.11% for the amount put up for auction.

The amount of successful bids is 16.762 billion FCFA and the one rejected at 8.513 billion FCFA. What corresponds to a rate absorption of 66.32%.

Investors whose bids have been successful, will end up with a weighted average return of 7.69% for the good ones, 6.76% for 3-year bonds, 6.93% for 5-year bonds and 7.66% for 5-year bonds 7 years.

The Burkinabe Public Treasury promises investors Refund vouchers issued on the first business day following the due date to October 29, 2026. On the other hand, interest will be paid in advance and deducted from the nominal value of these vouchers.

Regarding the obligations, the reimbursement of their capital will be paid on the first working day following the due date set at October 31, 2028 for 3-year-old girls, to October 31, 2030 for 5-year-old girls and October 31, 2032 for 7-year-old girls. Interest will be paid by year based on the announced fixed rate of 6% for 3-year bonds, 6.20% for those aged 5 and 6.40% for those aged 7 and this, as soon as the end of the first year.
