The State of Côte d'Ivoire has collected the sum of 76.999 billion FCFA at the end of a simultaneous issue of auction of 91-day assimilable treasury bonds (BAT) and 5- and 7-year assimilable treasury bonds (OAT). The transaction was carried out on 19 April 2022 on the WAEMU financial market.

 

The Ivorian State had put 70 billion FCFA up for auction in order to finance its budget. The total amount of bids is CFAF 151.356 billion. This gives a coverage rate of the amount put out to tender of 216.22%. The successful bids amounted to CFAF 76.999 billion and those rejected to CFAF 74.357 billion. This gives an absorption rate of 50.87%.

Bonds issued are redeemable on the first business day following the due date of July 19, 2022. Interest is payable in advance and deducted from the face value of the vouchers. As for the repayment of OAT, it will also take place on the first working day following the maturity date set at 20 April 2027 for securities with a maturity of 5 years and on 20 April 2029 for 7-year OAT.
