The weekly transaction report published Friday in Lagos announced that a total turnover of 7.684 billion of shares worth 494.126 billion naira in 116,645 transactions a was traded last week by investors on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

The weekly report shows that the numbers contrasted with a total of 2.735 billion shares valued at 85.197 billion nairas that changed hands last week as part of 127,284 transactions. According to the report, the financial services sector has led the business chart with 6.399 billion shares valued at 71.807 billion nairas traded in 54,799 transactions; while the sector of oil and gas followed with 730.517 million shares worth 730.517 million shares worth 391.364 billion naira in 7,059 transactions.

The service sector is in third place with a turnover of 128.647 million shares with a value of 962.909 million N in 5,863 transactions. According to the report, a total of 154,584 units valued at 23.314 million N were traded this week in the framework of 222 transactions, against a total of 107,552 units valued at 15,023 million N processed last week in 261 transactions.

In the Bonds section, a total of 75,196 units worth 73,976 Millions of nairas were traded this week in 27 transactions, against a total of 44,730 units worth 46.727 million naira traded last week in 41 transactions
