The central bank has published the new public debt issuance schedule. In the document, it was revealed that Ghana plans to issue 24 billion cedi ($3.24 billion) of bonds in the second quarter, according to a report by the central bank.

Gaf's economy is currently facing a range of financial problems, including runaway inflation, currency depreciation and a heavy debt burden. According to the Central Bank, 20 billion cedi would be used to renew maturing bonds, while the remaining 4.5 billion are new issues to meet the government's financing needs.

The calendar has shown that the government plans to issue 91-day and 182-day Treasuries each week, while 364-day Treasury bills will be issued every two weeks. The two- and six-year debt will be issued by the method of book construction.
