Because of purchases outside of the products refined petroleum products passed, Senegal recorded a decrease of 10.5% in its imports in the month of November 2025.

The National Agency for Statistics and demography (ANSD) indicated that “imports in the month of November 2025 are estimated at 713.3 billion FCFA against 796.5 billion FCFA in previous month, a drop of 10.5%”. The monthly bulletin of foreign trade statistics mentions that “this decrease follows that of purchases outside refined petroleum products which rose from 77.0 billion CFA francs against 124.7 billion CFA francs the month previous”.

According to the same document, “other transport equipment with 195.9 billion CFA francs in November compared to 218.4 billion in October, other machines and devices that amount to 50.4 billion CFA francs against 55.1 billion CFA francs for the same period, as well as base metals, which declined in November with 18.6 billion CFA francs against 25.7 in

October”.
