Construction work on the Brazzaville-Kinshasa road-rail bridge will begin in August 2020, announced on Sunday May 12, the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr Akinwumi Adesina, during a meeting with the President of the Congo-Brazzaville, Denis Sassou Nguesso in Oyo.

According to the same source, the feasibility studies have been completed. This work will cost 660 million USD. The money will come from the Africa 60 investment platform and the AfDB.

Nearly 4 km separate the two cities. This bridge will connect Kinshasa to the deep water port of Pointe-Noire in a single railway line.
