Korhogo, the city of Poro hosted this Saturday, May 18, according to the Ivorian Press Agency, the official launch of the construction work for the infrastructure of CAN 2023, scheduled to take place, in part, in this locality.

The launch of the works was made by the Minister of Public Service, Issa Coulibaly, representing the Prime Minister, Amadou Gon Coulibaly.

These infrastructures will essentially consist of a 20,000-seat football stadium fully covered and respecting the standards of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), four training grounds, a hotel and a city of 50 villas, indicated the coordinator of the CAN project, Kohon Lucien, presenting the site.

Adding that the cost of the investment is 50 billion CFA francs. The work will be carried out by the Chinese company CNBM. The stadium will be delivered at the end of December 2020.

These works start when those of the Ebimpé stadium, located in the town of Anyama, also planned to host the Can 2023 are almost completed.
