The Central Bank of the Republic of Guinea (BCRG) announced, this Sunday, August 31, 2025, the receipt of a batch of new tickets of bank. According to the BCRG, this measure aims to strengthen supply. commercial banks and vending machines, in order to meet to the immediate needs of the population and economic operators.

The Governor of the BCRG, Dr. Karamo Kaba, already had announced the arrival of these tickets a few months ago, specifying that a procurement schedule had been established and would be scrupulously respected. According to the institution, more shipments are expected by the end of the year in order to strengthen the supply of commercial banks and vending machines.

However, the Central Bank points out that this measure, while important, is not a final solution to the crisis. Car the problem does not lie in the production or distribution of tickets, but in their circulation. Around 94% of the cash money supply remains today outside the banking circuit, kept by individuals or absorbed by the informal economy. Retention that causes scarcity artificial cash, despite repeated injections.

Faced with this situation, the BCRG claims to act on two levers: ensure the immediate supply of tickets and promote sustainable solutions such as banking, electronic payments and the restoration of trust in the banking system.
