As part of the preparations for the seventeenth Replenishment of the resources of the African Development Fund (ADF-17), the Bank Group's concessional financing window, the President of the Group of the African Bank of development , Mr. Sidi Ould Tah, and the Minister of Finances du Luxembourg, Mr. Gilles Roth, are committed to deepening their cooperation.

The President of the ADB Group and the Minister of the Finances of Luxembourg met on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings 2025 of the World Bank and of the Monetary Fund international in Washington, D.C. Luxembourg remains one of the main global contributors to official development assistance, allocating systematically 1% of its gross national income to cooperation with development — well beyond the target of 0.7% recommended by the Nations United Nations and the Development Assistance Committee of the Cooperation Organization for development (OCDE ).

The collaboration of Luxembourg with the Bank goes beyond concessional financing. The country also contributes to the Trust Fund for the Development of Markets of capital from the Bank Group, of which he is one of the two founding donors — and the African Digital Financial Inclusion Facility, which aim both to promote financial innovation, to expand market access and to strengthen the private investment ecosystem in Africa.
