Thanks to the educational support of the National School of Regional Cyber Security (ENCR) and the Maritime Safety Institute interregional (ISMI) based in Abidjan in Côte d'Ivoire, twenty women managers operating in the maritime sector from Senegal and countries of sub-region have been trained in maritime cybersecurity.

Maritime cybersecurity training is dedicated to interregional maritime cybersecurity (ISMI) based in Abidjan in Côte d'Ivoire, is organized as part of SafePort2, a program aimed at strengthening the port security in West and Central Africa, started last Monday at the National School of Administration (ENA). This internship is funded by Germany and led by the Institut United Nations for training and research (Unitar ).

Police Lieutenant Mamadou Mbengue, head of the planning and performance division of the ENCR, on the sidelines of the ceremony of Closing the course indicated that “the training allowed the participants to acquire important skills, especially in crime scene management cyber, in digital hygiene, in infrastructure risk analysis critical and in the protection of network and system data”.

In his opinion, the rapid evolution of the maritime sector, marked by an increasing interconnection between computer technologies and operational systems, requires the strengthening of the capacities of actors ports in the face of cyber risks.
