During the 2nd meeting of the steering committee of the Côte d'Ivoire-Ghana cocoa initiative, the actors mobilized to boost production for the benefit of producers.

Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana are at work to revitalize the cocoa sector through inclusive approaches that benefit all actors in the chain, more specifically the most vulnerable producers. The 2nd meeting of the steering committee aims to validate the updated governance documents (staff statutes and rules, administrative rules, financial rules), the appointment of professional class staff, approve the appointment of presidents and vice- presidents of the technical committees, validate the program of activities of the initiative for the current campaign, and analyze the extension of the initiative to other African countries, in particular Cameroon and Nigeria. The participants are committed to a strong institution based on multidisciplinary skills for efficient control of cocoa production in the two countries.
