Indeed, DGI revenue at the end of the second quarter of 2019 amounted to 702.1 billion for a target of 703.2 billion, i.e. an achievement rate of 99.8%. In comparison with the receipts for the second quarter of 2018 which amounted to 640.9 billion, there is an increase of 61.2 billion, representing a growth rate of 9.6%. In the first half of January to June 2019, revenue amounted to 1,193.2 billion, representing an achievement rate of 99.7%. In terms of collection, the main satisfactions of the second quarter were the value added tax (VAT), the Taxes on Salaries and Salaries (ITS), oil and gas revenues and property taxes. The gross revenue targets assigned to the General Directorate of Taxes are set at 630 billion for the third quarter of 2019 and at 1,258.5 billion for the second half of this year.
To achieve these third quarter objectives, the DGI departments should draw up action plans that take into account the acceleration and execution of the annual plan and general control, the intensification of joint DGI-DGD control (Direction générale customs) and the conduct of control operations on the contribution of the licenses of drinking establishments and night establishments. As well as the organization of targeted transport license control operations, the control of the industrial fee, the strengthening of the recovery of arrears, the effective implementation of forced recovery procedures and the continuation of communication, awareness-raising, informing and monitoring taxpayers.
