The Director General of the Treasury and Public Accounting, Célestin Santéré Sanon, launched the Bond issue of Burkina Faso called " TPBF 6.50% 2020-2028 ", this Thursday, February 27, 2020 in Ouagadougou. For these eight years, including two years of deferral, 80 billion CFA francs are expected as the amount of the operation. Coris Bourse is the arranger and leader of this operation.

According to the Director General of the Treasury and Public Accounting, Célestin Santéré Sanon, Burkina Faso's experience in issuing public securities on the bond compartment is well established. Indeed, from 2002 to 2019, Burkina Faso made 49 emissions.

With this experience, the Public Treasury of Burkina Faso launches the bond called " TPBF 6.50% 2020-2028 ". The amount of the issue is 80 billion CFA francs represented by 8,000,000 bonds (number of securities) with a nominal value of 10,000 CFA francs each.

This bond issue, according to the initiators, aims to mobilize resources to finance growth-enhancing projects included in Burkina Faso's National Plan for Economic and Social Development (PNDES) for the year 2020.

Subscription is open from 27 February to 13 March 2020 inclusive. The interest rate is 6.50%* per year (net of any tax for residents in Burkina Faso.
