Communications Regulatory Authority Electronics and Posts (ARCEP) announced Friday, February 20, 2026 at Through a press release, the introduction of important changes in billing mobile services in Togo.

The announcement made by ARCEP concerns conservation the volume of packages not consumed, the accuracy in the billing of internet services and the extension of the validity period of SIM cards. For the conservation of the volumes of packages not consumed, the institution indicates that consumers will now be able to find their package volumes (voice and internet) not used within a completed period: 10 days for offers whose validity is less than or equal to 10 days, and 30 days for those whose validity exceeds 10 days. In case of subscription to several packages simultaneously, the countdown prioritizes those whose validity or deadline conservation station is the closest.

With respect to billing for services mobile internet, ARCEP now establishes the use of the byte as unique counting unit, ensuring that the volume consumed corresponds exactly at the volume invoiced, making Togo the only country in the sub-region to apply this level of precision.

By the way, the lifespan of SIM cards unused now goes from three to six months.

These measures are aimed at reducing the feeling of exhaustion of packages and to improve the overall experience of consumers.
