Since yesterday, November 4, 2025, opened on the 25th Afreximbank seminar on trade finance (ATFS). In Abidjan, in Côte d'Ivoire, bankers, African lenders, investors and policy makers are present.

Financial experts will discuss for three 3 days around the theme “Building Trade Finance Capacities” for inclusive and sustainable growth in Africa.” The executive director , trade finance and related banking services at Afreximbank, called in his speech that the participants to strengthen trade finance capacity and to deepen the collaboration between African financial institutions in order to accelerate inclusive and sustainable growth on the continent.

For Gwen Mwaba, “Africa is full of natural resources such as minerals, hydrocarbons, agricultural products and a growing range opportunities with high added value in the energy sectors, metals and logistics. These resources offer immense potential for development when they are funded in a responsible, effective and with rigorous risk management.
