Un accord de financement de prêt worth approximately 28 million US dollars, was signed last Thursday, August 3, between the transitional government of the Guinea and the African Development Bank Group.

The ADB and Guinea are financing the implementation of the Project to Support Agropastoral Development, Digitization and Market Access in Guinea. En effet, le projet doit contribuer durablement à la résilience de la sécurité alimentaire et nutritionnelle, à improving the incomes and financial inclusion of rural populations in its area of intervention. Its aim is to promote the promotion of maize and soybean production with a view to its transformation into poultry and livestock feed and the improvement of the production, processing and marketing infrastructures of the two target sectors as well as pastoral infrastructures

Also, the project should contribute to strengthening the climate resilience of agro-pastoralists, empowering women, and reducing vulnerabilities and inequalities between men and women in the agricultural sector.
