Eni (ENI.MI) announced on Friday that the initiative of entrepreneurial development, led by Eni Natural Energies Kenya and Joule, rewarded five agritech startups in Nairobi.

The third edition of Kenya Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program awarded an endowment of 10,000 euros to Viani Farm, Agribora, Maggy's Kienyeji, Bee Happy Enterprises, and Drofarmer Services, in recognition of potential of their projects in terms of scale-up and impact.

Five agritech startups were awarded today at Nairobi at the end of the third edition of Kenya Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Program (KAEP), the entrepreneurial development initiative promoted by Eni Natural Energies (ENE) Kenya and Joule, the business school by Eni, in collaboration with the E4Impact foundation.

During the final, ten finalists presented their solutions to a jury composed of investors, mentors and players in the sector agricultural technologies. The five most promising projects, selected for their potential for large-scale deployment and their impact, received an endowment of €10,000.

“We are thrilled to be working with Eni in Kenya. ”, underlined Mario Molteni, CEO of E4Impact. “We were able to develop a entrepreneurial ecosystem where innovation and sustainability are the pillars of a truly built future. By supporting businesses working in regenerative agriculture and the circular economy, and by contributing to development of agritech value chains, we participate in growth economic, inclusive and respectful of the environment. Thanks to a partnership like the one that unites Eni and E4Impact, it is possible to achieve goals important, both in terms of economic development and social justice ” concluded Mr Molteni.

Here are the startups rewarded for their innovative projects : VIANI FARM, AGRIBORA, MAGGY'S KIENYEJI LTD, BEE HAPPY ENTERPRISES, DROFARMER SERVICES.
