Morocco is among the first African beneficiaries investments deployed in 2025 by the European Bank Group Investment Bank (EIB), according to the annual report published by the institution.

In the Kingdom, the EIB supported production projects and the distribution of drinking water, in order to strengthen the resilience of water infrastructure in the face of climate change and to improve access to water in small towns and rural areas. She also supported the post-earthquake reconstruction of Al Haouz, via a rehabilitation program of schools, hospitals and critical infrastructures integrating standards of resilience and energy efficiency.

In 2025, the EIB invested over 9 billion euros worldwide via BEI Monde, including 3.1 billion in Africa. Nearly 46 % of this funding was devoted to climate action, consistently with the European Union's “Global Gateway” strategy.
