On the sidelines of the Trade Fair activities intra-African (IATF 2025) organized from 4 to 10 September, an agreement of a worth 480 million dollars has been signed. This agreement covers the supply of West African markets for Algerian electrical equipment.

The agreement was reached between the industrial group Algerian “GISB ELECTRIC”, specialized in manufacturing of electrical equipment, and the “SOGELUX” group, distributor of this equipment in Senegal and Ivory Coast. The CEO of “GISB ELECTRIC”, Mr. Kobibi Djilani Bachir, and the representative of “SOGELUX” in Senegal, Mr. Tham Ibrahim, signed this agreement in the presence of of the Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), Omar Rekkache, the director of trade, investment and financial cooperation at the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), Ayman El-Zoghbi and the representative of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), Mr. Ali Oumellal.

Under this agreement, “GISB ELECTRIC” will export more than $300 million worth of electrical equipment to benefit of SOGELUX in Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire, which will then be sent to markets in the community Economic of West African States (ECOWAS) , over a period of three years.

The agreement also provides for the realization of industrial investments worth 180 million dollars in Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire in the industrial sectors electric.
