The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group has approved an equity investment of up to approximately CFAF 8,557,500,000 in the "Alterra Africa Accelerator Fund L.P.".

"Alterra" (or the "AAA Fund") is a multi-sector private equity fund dedicated to developing high-growth businesses across Africa. This investment fully aligns with the strategic priorities of the African Development Bank's High 5s, contributing to improved access to capital, supporting Africa's demographic transformation, and fostering the creation of climate-resilient infrastructure and high value-added in key economic sectors.

The Bank Group's participation will help mobilize additional institutional capital and strengthen the fund's capacity to provide long-term growth capital to African businesses with strong expansion potential. Through this investment, the Bank will contribute to accelerating the development of high-growth potential businesses, particularly those driving innovation, regional expansion, and job creation.
