institutional investors (Pension Fund, Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, Insurance Companies), Professional Orders of Benin (Doctors, Lawyers, Notaries, Bailiffs, Architects) as well as private sector companies, in particular SMEs.
These meetings, which aim to inform and sensitize actors in Benin, are part of the deployment of actions to promote the Regional Financial Market.
The BRVM and the DC/BR took this opportunity to remind institutional investors of the importance of their structuring and market leader role, like other stock exchanges.
The BRVM invited them to evolve from the "buy and hold" strategy to a more active management strategy based on information available in the market by acquiring adequate human and material resources.
The Central Structures also took the opportunity to congratulate the CNSS, which was elected best institutional investor in WAEMU and welcomed the arrival of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations du Benin as a central player in the economic landscape and Beninese financier.
The meeting with the professional orders was an opportunity to raise their awareness of the advantages of investing in the stock market as well as the management of market risks through a diversified portfolio approach.
With regard to companies, they were invited to take advantage of the presence of a stock exchange (BRVM) in the Union to mobilize long-term resources with a view to financing their investments.
SMEs were particularly made aware of the conditions for admission to the Third Compartment as well as the support tools enabling them to access it.
They wished to benefit from the support of Technical and Financial Partners or dedicated organizations created by the States, with a view to setting up modern tools of good governance and good management, taught in the Elite BRVM lounge Program.
During these different meetings, all the players were unanimous in emphasizing the importance of awareness-raising and communication actions, the need for regular meetings of this type and the need for partnership for more active cooperation with the
BRVM and the DC/BR.
