announced on Thursday the Ivorian Prime Minister, in charge of the Budget and the State portfolio, Amadou Gon Coulibaly,
during a press conference at the Primature.
The Ivorian State should raise, for the 2020 financial year, a volume of "1.492 billion CFA francs" on the regional market and
international including 230 billion CFA francs "for the Eurobonds", indicated Mr. Gon Coulibaly following a question
of a journalist.
In addition to the regional market, discussions are underway with the banks to support the State in this
mobilization of resources, said Ivorian Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly, insinuating that the
government is seeing "the best time".
At the level of the budget deficit, he pointed out that Côte d'Ivoire has reached a rate of 3% of the Domestic Product
(GDP) in 2019 and for 2020 the country envisaged a percentage "below 3%" of the Domestic Product
raw.
The debt of Côte d'Ivoire in 2011 was, after the post-electoral crisis, estimated at more than 6,000 billion CFA francs.
The country, with its enormous development programs engaged in several sectors, cumulates
today a debt ratio of 48% of GDP (compared to 66% in 2011).
